Camping in the Jungle
|
This expedition gives you the opportunity to
trek through Borneo’s dense tropical rainforests, through remote villages
en-route to the spectacular Mount Kinabalu.
Our expedition begins with rafting down the Kiulu River, a cycle back up
through the beautiful valley, before we begin our trek through the hot
humid rainforest and traditional Dusun villages. We camp in villages where
few tourists visit and the ladies love to cook for us with food from their
farms and show us a little of their cultural dancing and songs.

|
The trek finishes with sun rise on the
highest peak of South East Asia, Mount Kinabalu. The view from the
summit is spectacular out over the South China Sea. A much rewarded
bath in the hot springs is well deserved after the descent.
At the end of our trek we head south wildlife spotting at the
Kinabatangan Wildlife Reserve and Sepilok Orangutan Sanctuary.
