Your private boat takes you back to Bluefields for your domestic flight to Managua. Upon arrival you are transferred to Granada, a colonial town located on the shores of the Fresh Water Sea.

Here you take a private boat to the Las Isletas Archipelago, consisting of 360 islands of volcanic origin. One of the private islands boasts an intimate boutique ecolodge, called Jicaro Island Ecolodge, which is your temporary place of residence.

Located near to the shores of the vast Lake Nicaragua and created by a pre-historic eruption of the nearby Mombacho Volcano, Las Isletas are one of the country's most attractive natural highlights. An archipelago of 365 small islands scattered around the Asese peninsula, here you'll find a mix of tiny fishing communities, stunning private homes, and beautiful resorts and eco-lodges. The flora and fauna of the archipelago is remarkable, and best observed from a private deck, by motorboat, or by kayak slowly paddling around the islands.

After breakfast with a panoramic view over the Sweet Water your captain brings you back to mainland Nicaragua where your private guide takes you on a cultural tour. You start off with a Chocolate workshop to learn about the region roots, focusing on one of the main ingredients, the cacao. In the afternoon a master blender will introduce you to the world of tobacco and cigars, visiting a local cigar factory. To top of the day you visit to the Masaya Volcano National Park (momentarily active) for a twilight tour to experience the heath, smells and views of the lava lake.

On this fun interactive workshop you'll learn everything about cacao and chocolate-making, and prepare handmade chocolate from Nicaraguan organic cacao beans. Popular with couples and families, the workshop covers the entire process, starting from the cocoa bean and ending with your very own handmade bar of chocolate. You'll also prepare some cocoa drinks, including an ancient indigenous drink which dates back hundreds of years.

Start your visit with an insight into the history of tobacco farming and cigar production in Nicaragua, learning about how it is processed, where it is cultivated in Nicaragua, discovering the diverse phases of production, and ending with rolling up your own cigar and tasting at the small tobacco factory located next to the Xalteva square.

Masaya Volcano National Park is one of the most famous volcanoes in the pacific region of Nicaragua due to its constant activity, and was known to the Spanish at the "Mouth of Hell". It offers the unique experience of seeing an active volcano up close, and watching as molten lava glows in crater just meters away from you. It's an awe-inspiring experience allowing visitors to experience a phenomenon once sacred to the pre-Columbian Nicaraguans, who were inspired by the raw power and beauty of nature.

After breakfast the third leg of your private tour takes you to the Pacific Ocean, with its rugged coastline, pristine bays and dramatic rock formations. Your captain takes you back to mainland Nicaragua, followed by a private transfer to Morgan s Rock, a secluded ecolodge located north of San Juan del Sur.

En route you visit Mombacho Volcano for a hike around the crater, through the cloud forest, and for an exclusive coffee estate tour, which includes a coffee tasting with an expert at the local hacienda. Dinner and overnight with a oceanfront view at Morgan's Rock.

Once a quiet fishing village, San Juan del Sur has grown into one of the most popular beach destinations on Nicaragua's southern Pacific Coast. Happily, the town has maintained much of the charm and laid-back atmosphere which made it famous, and the surrounding area remains as beautiful and wild as ever. The picturesque half-moon bay is ideal for swimming, and there are some lovely hotels and restaurants along the waterfront. The town is an excellent base for exploring other less known beaches in the region, some of which are great for surfing almost year-round. Other activities, some seasonal, include snorkeling, diving, sailing, whale-watching and zip-lining.

Journey into the lush cloud forest around the majestic Mombacho Volcano, spotting wildlife and taking in the incredible panoramic views from the top. After travelling to the Mombacho Nature Reserve, you'll begin to climb the volcano by 4x4 truck, stopping for a delicious local coffee at one of the plantations along the way. Once near the top you'll enjoy a short, guided hike along the trail, passing through a variety of landscapes - keep an eye out for the howler monkeys and white-faced monkeys, sloths, dart frogs, and the endemic Mombacho salamander along the way. Once at the peak, you can enjoy views over Granada, the Las Isletas archipelago and Masaya Volcano.

A real treat for coffee lovers! On this tour you ll visit the coffee plantation of Café Las Flores, idyllically located on the slopes of an inactive volcano within the Mombacho Volcano Nature Reserve, where you ll learn about sustainable coffee cultivation. At the end of the tour, continue to the old conserved hacienda of Palazio family, where you can admire some of the original belongings of the family and participate in a coffee tasting and evaluation of the top coffee products of Café Las Flores, as the Grandes Cosechas or Single State Gourmet Coffee. Take the flavor of the Mombachos  coffee with your own bag of special coffee as a gift from us!

Note that although this tour can be done the whole year round, from November to February is the harvest season. During these months you can see how the beans are picked, washed, peeled and dried. You can help pick the beans using a basket strapped around your waist.
