During this tour you'll experience life beside all three of Nicaragua's ‘seas', staying in luxury coastal resorts and island escapes, as well as visiting the capital, Managua, the colonial gem of Granada, and two of the nation's mighty volcanoes.

Land of warm welcomes, stunning volcanic landscapes, vast tropical forests, and unmatched beaches.

You arrive at Managua Airport, after customs procedures and passing the VIP lounge, our representative welcomes you and provides you a welcome package including the information you need for your trip. Then you are transferred to your hotel in Managua.

 

MANAGUA

Nicaragua's capital city is home to almost two million people, and is the heartbeat of the nation's culture and commerce. Managua hosts the country's main airport and is the starting point for many Nicaraguan vacations, but it's worth spending a couple of days exploring what the city has to offer, with a vibrant dining and nightlife scene, buzzing markets and impressive revolutionary landmarks. There's a selection of good quality hotels, and popular daytrips include the nearby Chocoyero-El Brujo Natural Reserve and the spectacular Masaya Volcano National Park.

After breakfast, the first leg of your private tour takes you to the Caribbean Sea. Early transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Corn Island.

 

Welcome to the Caribbean in Nicaragua! Upon arrival, you are transferred to the pier, where a private boat will take you to your resort on Little Corn Island.

 

Little Corn Island

This is the place to go when you are looking for time to relax and spend in silence. The smaller one of the two Corn Islands located in the Atlantic, about 80 kilometres away from the coast, is a true paradise.

 

White sand beaches with coconut trees and coral reefs are inviting you to stay for a few days. The island can be reached within one hour by boat from Big Corn, but unlike the bigger island, there are no cars or motorbikes on this island. The island measures less than three square kilometres and has comfortable hotels and cosy restaurants. Swimming, diving and snorkelling are some of the activities you can do here.

Leisure time to enjoy the turquoise waters of the Caribbean, relax and rest at the Lodge.

Little Corn Island – Snorkeling Yemaya (Shared)

 

The reefs around the Corn Islands offer excellent snorkeling.The Corn Islands are surrounded by a barrier reef system which is a unique underwater ecosystem for snorkeling and scuba diving. Whether snorkeling from the beach or on a dive excursion with one of the local dive operators, one can expect to see a wide variety of corals, sponges, tropical fish, rays, schools of snapper, turtles and even dolphins. With the expert local guides, you will be taken to the places where there are the most colorful fish and coral. Let the guide know what you want and he will set up a great tour for you!

 

Little Corn Island – Diving Experience

 

Little Corn Island one of the world class diving destinations , with its magnificent diversity and beautiful coral reefs has everything a beginner or an experience diver is looking for. With easy access, turquoise clear water allows you to explore from the tunnels , caves and different amazing coral reefs, diverse fauna such as spotted eagle rays, sting rays, sharks, dolphins, turtles, lobsters, octopuses , several tropical fish species and with a bit more of luck you can even find hammerhead sharks all in their still natural habitat.

On this diving experience you will have the chance to dive twice per day, and depending on weather the spots you will visit each day, prepare to explore the wonderful underwater world while diving in Little Corn Island.

Day to enjoy some optional experiences at your hotel, such as Snorkelling or Kayaking.

After breakfast the second leg of your private tour takes you to Lake Nicaragua, locally known as The Fresh Water Sea, being the biggest water body in Central America, and in Latin America only second to Lake Titicaca. Your private boat takes you back to Bluefields for your domestic flight to Managua. Upon arrival you are transferred to Granada, a colonial town located on the shores of the Fresh Water Sea.

 

Here you take a private boat to the Las Isletas Archipelago, consisting of 360 islands of volcanic origin. One of the private islands boasts an intimate boutique ecolodge, called Jicaro Island Ecolodge, which is your temporary place of residence.

 

ISLETAS DE GRANADA

Located near to the shores of the vast Lake Nicaragua and created by a pre-historic eruption of the nearby Mombacho Volcano, Las Isletas are one of the country's most attractive natural highlights. An archipelago of 365 small islands scattered around the Asese peninsula, here you'll find a mix of tiny fishing communities, stunning private homes, and beautiful resorts and eco-lodges. The flora and fauna of the archipelago is remarkable, and best observed from a private deck, by motorboat, or by kayak slowly paddling around the islands.

After breakfast with a panoramic view over the Sweet Water your captain brings you back to mainland Nicaragua where your private guide takes you on a cultural tour. You start off with a Chocolate workshop to learn about the region roots, focusing on one of the main ingredients, the cacao. In the afternoon a master blender will introduce you to the world of tobacco and cigars, visiting a local cigar factory. To top of the day you visit to the Masaya Volcano National Park (momentarily active) for a twilight tour to experience the heath, smells and views of the lava lake.

 

GRANADA – CHOCOLATE WORKSHOP (privrate)

On this fun interactive workshop you'll learn everything about cacao and chocolate-making, and prepare handmade chocolate from Nicaraguan organic cacao beans. Popular with couples and families, the workshop covers the entire process, starting from the cocoa bean and ending with your very own handmade bar of chocolate. You'll also prepare some cocoa drinks, including an ancient indigenous drink which dates back hundreds of years.

 

GRANADA – TRADITIONAL CIGAR WORKSHOP

Start your visit with an insight into the history of tobacco farming and cigar production in Nicaragua, learning about how it is processed, where it is cultivated in Nicaragua, discovering the diverse phases of production, and ending with rolling up your own cigar and tasting at the small tobacco factory located next to the Xalteva square.

 

MASAYA COLVANO – LAVA NIGHTS TOUR (private)

Masaya Volcano National Park is one of the most famous volcanoes in the pacific region of Nicaragua due to its constant activity, and was known to the Spanish at the "Mouth of Hell". It offers the unique experience of seeing an active volcano up close, and watching as molten lava glows in crater just meters away from you. It's an awe-inspiring experience allowing visitors to experience a phenomenon once sacred to the pre-Columbian Nicaraguans, who were inspired by the raw power and beauty of nature.

After breakfast the third leg of your private tour takes you to the Pacific Ocean, with its rugged coastline, pristine bays and dramatic rock formations. Your captain takes you back to mainland Nicaragua, followed by a private transfer to Morgan s Rock, a secluded ecolodge located north of San Juan del Sur.

En route you visit Mombacho Volcano for a hike around the crater, through the cloud forest, and for an exclusive coffee estate tour, which includes a coffee tasting with an expert at the local hacienda. Dinner and overnight with a oceanfront view at Morgan's Rock.

 

SAN JUAN DEL SUR

Once a quiet fishing village, San Juan del Sur has grown into one of the most popular beach destinations on Nicaragua's southern Pacific Coast. Happily, the town has maintained much of the charm and laid-back atmosphere which made it famous, and the surrounding area remains as beautiful and wild as ever. The picturesque half-moon bay is ideal for swimming, and there are some lovely hotels and restaurants along the waterfront. The town is an excellent base for exploring other less known beaches in the region, some of which are great for surfing almost year-round. Other activities, some seasonal, include snorkeling, diving, sailing, whale-watching and zip-lining.

 

MOMBACHO VOLCANO – CAETER TRAIL (privrate)

Journey into the lush cloud forest around the majestic Mombacho Volcano, spotting wildlife and taking in the incredible panoramic views from the top. After travelling to the Mombacho Nature Reserve, you'll begin to climb the volcano by 4x4 truck, stopping for a delicious local coffee at one of the plantations along the way. Once near the top you'll enjoy a short, guided hike along the trail, passing through a variety of landscapes - keep an eye out for the howler monkeys and white-faced monkeys, sloths, dart frogs, and the endemic Mombacho salamander along the way. Once at the peak, you can enjoy views over Granada, the Las Isletas archipelago and Masaya Volcano.

 

GRANADA – EXCLUSIVE COFFEE TOUR AT MOMACHO VOLCANO

A real treat for coffee lovers! On this tour you ll visit the coffee plantation of Café Las Flores, idyllically located on the slopes of an inactive volcano within the Mombacho Volcano Nature Reserve, where you ll learn about sustainable coffee cultivation. At the end of the tour, continue to the old conserved hacienda of Palazio family, where you can admire some of the original belongings of the family and participate in a coffee tasting and evaluation of the top coffee products of Café Las Flores, as the Grandes Cosechas or Single State Gourmet Coffee. Take the flavor of the Mombachos  coffee with your own bag of special coffee as a gift from us!

Note that although this tour can be done the whole year round, from November to February is the harvest season. During these months you can see how the beans are picked, washed, peeled and dried. You can help pick the beans using a basket strapped around your waist.

After breakfast the first leg of your private tour takes you to the Caribbean Sea. You take the domestic flight to Bluefields, followed by a private boat transfer to the Pearl Cays, also known as Cayos de Perlas; a group of 18 cays located about 15 kilometers off the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua.

The Pearl Cays are covered with vegetation and are lined with white sand beaches. They are an important nesting site for turtles, including the endangered Hawksbill turtle. One of the private cays boasts a high-end resort called Calala Island, lying directly along the beach. With only 4 suites on the entire Island, complete privacy comes as standard. A staff of 25 looks after a maximum of 10 guests.

 

Pearl Keys

Pearl Cays is a group of 18 islands located in the Caribbean coast of Nicaragua, about 35 kilometers from the small town of Laguna de Perlas. These islands are a really good option for a relaxing trip with friends or family.

Each island is 1 hour away from each other and it?s possible to visit all 18 cays by boat. All are surrounded by turquoise water, white sand beaches and palm trees. Perfect spots to spend a personalized Caribbean holiday. Some activities that can be done are sunbathing, snorkeling or simply taking a swim in the clear crystal waters.

Fill your day with activities that will connect you with the surroundings of the Pearl Cays in the Caribbean Sea. Kayak across to an uninhabited island, explore the shipwreck on the shores of Little Calala Island, and snorkel around the reefs, or enjoy a private picnic to wither away the afternoon.

 

Calala Island Experience

Delight in the Caribbean Paradise, chose between non-motorized water sport activities, Fishing in the surroundings of the Island or snorkeling to admire the unique species of our Caribbean Coast. You can also paddle to the private Little Calala Island, just 5 minutes away from the big island, where you can relax and feel the owner of the island. Besides this activities, you can also swim at the infinity pool or relax in the beach and delight with their unique fresh gastronomy offer.
